Situated in the flashy new Oracle district, the Bavarian cafe is designed much like the popular gastro pubs found in England. They offer a large variety of beers as per the name and of course German or Bavarian fare. The large outside seating area seems to be quite popular with the after work crowd, while inside seating caters to families or more intimate meals. The sleek blue furniture helps to give it a fresh modern feel. Staff are very friendly and are often found hovering around so no fear of going thirsty in this establishment.
I was keen to try the roast pork belly with crackling, bier jus and vegetables. At $29 it doesn't come cheap but after finishing everything on my plate, I decided it was worth every penny. The crackling was perfectly roasted, the pork tender and I absolutely adored the jus, which smothered the veggies and small roasted potatoes. If they can keep producing dishes of similar quality, then I'm sure many folks would return as would I.
