Freshly Stacked Gourmet Burgers

There is nothing better than a good burger, especially one that has a juicy beef patty, so imagine my surprise and joy when I discovered a new burger restaurant in the heart of Broadbeach. A few months ago I was still lusting after Grill’d but Freshly Stacked burgers are not only bigger, they’re right on my doorstep.

Situated next to the trendy Koi, Freshly Stacked delivers huge delicious burgers, fantastic chips and super friendly service. The staff are efficient, the food is fast and it’s a low-key casual atmosphere that makes you feel right at home even in your flip-flops(thongs) and singlets. Pictured above is the chilled outside dining area, here you can people watch while you sip your cold Corona. There is a good range of beef, chicken, veggie, lamb, seafood and wagyu steak burgers.

So far, I have tried the same burger twice and am happy to report that it has consistently been a pure joy to eat…the Jazzy Blues (a chargrilled beef patty served with blue cheese, caramelised onions, rocket, tomato & a blue cheese sauce). I especially love the generous slice of blue cheese sitting atop the patty, by the time it’s served most of the blue cheese has melted into the patty…a blue cheese lover’s dream come true! Just look at the size of the beef patty too, yum!

My partner decided to go for the Southern Cross, a beef patty topped with an egg, beetroot, avocado, pineapple, cheddar and a tomato relish. This burger was huge and thanks to the skewer stuck through the middle, it was surprisingly easy to eat, although it helps if you are a guy I suppose and have a large mouth and hands. This mouthful cost $16.90, whilst mine was $15.50, so it could seem like alot for a burger but I think it’s pretty fair considering the ingredients and range of burgers on offer.

Apparently, the breakfast’s here are quite good too, so it is definitely on my to-do list.
